Back to the Futurama

A Taste of Freedom

We start this episode asking some hard hitting questions, but we promise it's relevant to the episode. Zoidberg eats a flag and people get up in arms about it. The only flags harmed in this episode are made up, fictional flags, we cannot stress that enough.

It's Freedom Day, though, so do what you want! Listen to this podcast or don't! Personally, I felt like not writing a very good episode description. Freedom!

Ben starts a very specific radio station. Mike becomes Zoidberg.

The jazz track used in this episode is "Fake it Til You Fake it" by Kevin MacLeod and is used under a Creative Commons license. It can be found at http://freepd.com/Jazz/Fake%20It%20Til%20You%20Fake%20It

Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television

In our modern society, we have to make sure we know what our kids are watching. But we also struggle with making sure they are cool, but not cool by robbing somebody. Life as a parent can be very complicated.

Luckily, we're here to help! And in the process, we accidentally unleash the immortal power of a certain 90s film, and we have a special guest (it's Bender's Banjo, making its 4th appearance).

Ben consults the dictionary. Mike builds an indestructible fort.

Jurassic Bark

A very special episode. Featuring Stacy and Friend of the Podcast Temma.

Grab some tissues and be prepared for some EMOTIONS. EMOTIONS!!! Yes, we're talking about perhaps the most infamous episode of Futurama, Jurassic Bark. It's the one with the dog. And it is very, very sad.

We also get an interview to talk all about how sad this episode is, and that perhaps reveals that Mike is kind of a jerk sometimes.

Ben cries in a coffee shop. Mike is a sociopath.

Crimes of the Hot

It's a hot one, like some number of inches from a mid-day sun. Cool off with a tall, cool glass of Futurama. We're here to sell it to you from our weird podcast lemonade stand.

In addition to talking about global warming, we also talk about Al Gore, dark wizards, way too many balloons, and we question whether or not everybody does, in fact, love Raymond.

Ben reflects 40% of Rays. Mike plays a trombone.

Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles

Youth is wasted on the young! Or maybe age is wasted on the old? It could go either way. The important thing is that we hop on the podcast highway to discuss.

We also talk about Tootsie Roll Pop commercials, Podcast Clippy, the ultimate fate of Instagram, and the various larval stages of Zoidberg.

Ben tries to become a tooth fairy. Mike transforms into a compact disc.

Special Guest: Max

Featuring Special Guest Max

Mike got snowed in and we couldn't record our normal episode, but our podcast buddy Max was already scheduled to record with us. So instead of talking "The Why of Fry," we zag and just talk about Futurama for a bit. We talk Max's Futurama favorites, going up watching the same TV, and other potential shows that might take up the Futurama flag. We also touch briefly on whether or not Futurama stuck the landing when it rebooted.

Ben defends an anime series. Mike is probably fine.

The Why of Fry

The Chaz Experience

Would you give up your present life to go have a future life in order to save the universe? What if you were the most important person in the universe? That's exactly what Fry has to deal with in this week's episode.

We also spend way too much time talking about steamed hams, looking questionable stuff up in dictionaries and phonebooks, doing the nasty in the past-y, and of course, The Chaz Experience.™

Ben writes for an important magazine. Mike becomes a sports commentator.

Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Where No Fan Has Gone Before

Hi. We don't know much about Star Trek, so we were the logical choice to talk about this Star Trek related episode of Futurama.

We also talk about one of the worst TV shows Ben has ever seen, Welshie, being a nerd, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, and I think that's about it. Then some updates on March Ocean Madness 2018.

Ben rants about a bad TV show. Mike makes a bow out of caterpillars.

The Sting

Featuring Erin from Unabashedly Obsessed

On today's very special episode of Back to the Futurama, somebody DIES. Maybe? No spoilers. But yeah Fry dies and it's kind of sad.

We also discuss bees, fear of bees, Hot or Not style websites for bees. Neptunian Milhouse makes a comeback. We discuss Leela's fashion choices and Bender's life choices. And we try to figure out if we can swim in jelly.

We're also joined by Erin of the podcast Unabashedly Obsessed! We got her hooked on Futurama, so we've done at least one thing right with this podcast. Check out her podcast at https://unabashedlyobsessed.com.

Ben has a phobia. Mike can't swim in jelly as far as he knows.

Bend Her

This one is a rough one. We talk about some stuff we don't really like talking about.

But we also do talk about Jerry Seinfeld and Puppy Petting Olympics, soap opera drama, and life changing college courses.

Ben starts a war with Jerry Seinfeld. Mike stands on a desk.
